Introduction

Fenix Acquisitions is seeking a highly experienced and relationship-focused Executive Account Specialist to manage our portfolio of retained search mandates. This is a consultative, project-focused role where your primary accountability is the successful execution and delivery of executive-level placements for our B2B SaaS clients.

You will act as the principal liaison between our firm and our clients' C-suite/VP leadership, overseeing the entire search lifecycle from defining the mandate to contract close and project completion. Success in this role requires a mastery of client management, strategic communication, and a deep understanding of the executive talent landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Mandate Management: Own the end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent retained search mandates, ensuring searches are defined, launched, and completed on time and to the highest standard of quality.
  • Executive Relationship Cultivation: Build and sustain deep, trusted partnerships with new and existing B2B SaaS clients, acting as their primary strategic advisor on organizational structure and talent gaps.
  • Consultative Sales & Closing: Skillfully navigate commercial discussions, present proposals for complex search solutions, and close new retained search mandates with executive decision-makers.
  • Search Strategy: Partner closely with internal Talent Intelligence teams to define the ideal candidate profile, market mapping strategy, and targeted outreach plan for each assignment.
  • Client Communication & Reporting: Provide transparent, data-driven updates to clients on search progress, market feedback, and pipeline metrics, managing expectations throughout the engagement.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure seamless coordination between all internal teams (Sourcing, Research, etc.) to guarantee a world-class, consistent client experience.

Qualifications

  • Retained Search Experience: Proven success managing or significantly contributing to the delivery of retained executive search engagements (preferably within the B2B SaaS or technology sectors).
  • Executive Communication Mastery: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the gravitas necessary to engage and influence C-level and senior VP stakeholders.
  • Consultative Approach: Ability to listen, diagnose client organizational needs, and propose strategic, custom talent solutions rather than simply selling a service.
  • Deal Negotiation: Strong business acumen with a track record of skillfully negotiating and closing high-value service contracts.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex, long-duration projects (search mandates) simultaneously while maintaining rigorous attention to detail.
  • Domain Expertise: Familiarity with high-growth B2B SaaS business models and organizational functions (e.g., Go-to-Market, Engineering, Product).
