Introduction
Fenix Acquisitions is seeking a specialized Internal Platform Architect to design, build, and optimize the proprietary systems that drive our internal operational efficiency and competitive advantage in executive search. This is a critical back-end focused contract role dedicated to improving our talent intelligence and search execution capabilities—not building client-facing websites.
You will be responsible for the architectural design, security, and integration of our core internal technology stack, including our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and custom data intelligence platforms. Your work ensures our executive search consultants and researchers have the fastest, most effective tools available to service our B2B SaaS clients.
Responsibilities
Architecture & Integration: Design, implement, and maintain the internal integration layer that connects our core platforms (e.g., customizing our ATS/CRM, integrating with our proprietary data warehouse).Workflow Automation: Develop scalable automation scripts and middleware services to streamline internal business processes, such as data enrichment, compliance checks, and lead/mandate hand-offs between teams.Security & Data Integrity: Establish and enforce best practices for platform security, access control, and data governance across all internal systems, particularly those handling confidential candidate and client information.Custom Tool Development: Build and deploy internal-only applications and dashboards that provide our search consultants and leadership with real-time performance metrics and talent market intelligence.Platform Optimization: Conduct regular audits of system performance, identify technical bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high uptime and maximum internal user efficiency.Collaboration: Partner closely with leadership and the Talent Intelligence team to translate business requirements into technical specifications for platform features and improvements.Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Platform Engineering, or Senior Development, specifically focused on internal business systems (not public-facing websites).Deep CRM/ATS Expertise: Proven experience customizing, integrating, and architecting solutions around major B2B CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) or industry-specific ATS platforms.Integration Master: Strong proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs, webhooks, and third-party services to create robust internal data flows.Backend Stack Proficiency: Expertise in a core backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js) for developing automation scripts and middleware.Data Focus: Solid understanding of database design (SQL/NoSQL) and data structure best practices for internal reporting and analytics.Security Mindset: Strong commitment to platform security and experience implementing authentication and authorization protocols.Remote Autonomy: Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and communicate effectively while working independently in a remote environment.Your Impact
