Introduction

Fenix Acquisitions is seeking a highly specialized SaaS Talent Analytics Developer to drive our competitive advantage through proprietary market intelligence. This contract role is a deep-dive data engineering position, focused on building the custom data infrastructure and analytical tools that fuel our strategic executive search process.

You will be embedded within our Talent Intelligence team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines that transform raw market, compensation, and talent flow data into actionable insights for our consultants and clients. Your work directly enables us to anticipate trends and place high-impact leaders in North America's fastest-growing B2B SaaS companies.

Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Engineering: Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines (ETL/ELT) to integrate diverse talent market data (public sources, third-party compensation APIs, web-scraped data) into our centralized data warehouse.
  • Custom Tool Development: Build and maintain proprietary internal applications and dashboards that allow Talent Intelligence Consultants to visualize market maps, model compensation benchmarks, and analyze talent mobility trends.
  • System Integration: Develop robust APIs and connectors to ensure seamless data flow between our core systems (ATS/CRM) and our analytical environment, specifically focusing on talent-related data accuracy.
  • Data Modeling & Quality: Establish rigorous data governance, quality assurance processes, and optimal data models within the warehouse to support complex talent analytics queries.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Talent Intelligence Consultants to understand strategic business questions and translate them into efficient, data-driven solutions and features.
  • Technology Stack Ownership: Recommend and implement the right technologies and cloud services (GCP, AWS, etc.) for efficient, secure, and cost-effective talent data processing and storage.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience focused on Data Engineering, Data Science, or Analytics development.
  • Expert proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and pipeline automation.
  • Deep expertise in SQL and experience working with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and working with RESTful APIs to ingest or push data.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or Power BI) for developing front-end data visualizations.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT principles, data modeling techniques, and ensuring data quality at scale.
  • A background or strong interest in Talent Acquisition, HR Analytics, or B2B SaaS Market Data is highly valued.
